Activities:
The BioEngineering Lab is equipped with instrumentation for the noninvasive acquisition, storage, and management of data coming from various physiological systems, including respiratory, thermoregulatory, and nervous systems.
The lab offers software applications for modelling, processing and classifying biosignals and bioimages, also leveraging advanced computational learning techniques, to drive innovative solutions in healthcare, medical diagnostics, wellness, and sport. In particular, the lab is specialized in software applications for the analysis of brain activity through magnetoencephalography and electroencephalography, along with tools for magnetic resonance images and functional magnetic resonance images, which allow for monitoring psychological states, emotion recognition, and supporting the diagnosis of brain-related conditions.
