Electronic health records, mobile technologies, wearable/portable devices, decision support solutions, non-invasive sensors
According to the definition given by the World Health Organization (WHO), e-Health represents “the use of information and communications technology in support of health and health-related fields”. In the last decade, many achievements have been reached in this field and its domain has been extended to include also the use of mobile wireless technologies (m-Health), the use of telecommunications and virtual technology to provide healthcare remotely (telehealth) and the use of big data and artificial intelligence. Applications related to this field were mainly devoted to the following areas/systems:
