Capsule Bio
Antonio Nocera graduated in the bachelor of Biomedical Engineering in December 2020 with a thesis regarding machine learning for the estimation of muscle onset activation in the electromyography signal. Then, he graduated in the master’s degree of Biomedical Engineering in July 2022 with a thesis titled “Bioengineering of sport: American Football”, where the electrocardiographic signal of a group of american football players was recorded with a chest strap to monitor parameters of heart rate variability through symbolic analysis. Since November 2022 he is a PhD fellow at the department of Information Engineering (DII) with topics embracing the monitoring of human physiological and behavioural parameters from wearable, portable and environmental sensors.
Research Areas:
Currently, his main research interests include the acquisition and the analysis of biomedical signal extracted from contactless sensors, such as automotive mmWave radars and/or RGB-D cameras.
