Activities:

The laboratory is equipped with two VNAs, with two and four ports (Agilent 8361 10 MHz-67 GHz and R&S ZNA43 10 MHz-43.5 GHz), and various calibration kits for measurements up to 67 GHz. There are also analysis and design tools such as, Comsol, CST, The Mathworks Matlab. Teaching, research and planning activities are carried out which mainly concern:

• Modeling of microwave and millimeter wave components and antennas
• Multimodal measurements
• ‘Passives’ project
• Waveguide/microstrip antennas for radar applications
• Combinators for SSA
• Microstrip and SIW circuits
• Microwave and millimeter wave imaging
• Microwave diagnostics and remote sensing

The main bodies/companies with which the laboratory collaborates are: European Space Agency, Rheinmetall Italia, GEM Elettronica, SOMACIS, ST4I.
