Elvira Maranesi PhD Student
Research Areas My research activity is centred on a detailed study of themes related to the kinematics and surface electromyographic analysis of an important motor task used clinically to identify the elderly at risk of falling: the Functional Reach Test. It is giving special attention to identify both the motor strategies used during the task and the muscles responsible for the movement. Capsule Bio Elvira Maranesi received her degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 from Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy, with a thesis titled “Electromiographic study of Functional Reach”, working with Prof. Sandro Fioretti. Her research interests are focused on movement analysis and electromyographic signal processing. |
