Capsule Bio

Mhd Jafar earned his bachelor’s degree from Damascus University in 2018, focusing on the automatic classification of epilepsy using EEG and neural networks for his thesis. Following this, he gained valuable industry experience as a Radiology Field Service Engineer at Siemens Healthineers for a year, and later at GE Healthcare for two years. He then pursued his master’s degree at Università Politecnica delle Marche, enriched by a year-long ERASMUS experience at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. His Master’s thesis delved into the auto-segmentation of cardiac ultrasound images using deep learning.
Post-Master’s, he embarked on a six-month internship at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, where his work on augmented reality medical applications culminated in his team receiving the prestigious Springer award in the XR Competition category for the best technology presentation. Since November 2023, he has been a PhD student at the Department of Information Engineering (DII) at Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy, supported by a scholarship co-funded by PEACS PV company in the Netherlands.
