Eleonora Pavoni got the master’s degree in chemistry in 2011 and the PhD in chemistry in 2015, both from the University of Bologna. During the PhD she worked as research fellow at the Institute of Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity of Italian National Research Council (ISOF, CNR), then, from 2015 to 2016, she was a post-doc at Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences Department (DIBINEM, University of Bologna). She was research fellow at Department of Information Engineering (DII, of Polytechnic University of Marche), from 2017 to 2021. She has worked in the field of Optical, Raman, and Infrared spectroscopies and in material characterization by Scanning Microscope Techniques (AFM, STM, SMM). Her scientific activity was concerned with the photochemistry and photophysics of coordination compounds, carbon nanostructures, graphene, and supramolecular materials. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at Department of Materials, Environmental Sciences and Urban Planning (SIMAU, of Polytechnic University of Marche) and her research is focused on the theoretical investigation of 2D material and nanomaterial for energy harvesting.

Research Areas:

Her scientific activity was concerned with the photochemistry and photophysics of coordination compounds, carbon nanostructures and supramolecular materials. She worked in the field of Raman, Un-Vis and Infrared spectroscopy for molecular characterization. Now, her research activity is focused on Scanning Probe Microscopy Techniques (AFM, STM) and Scanning Microwave Microscopy (SMM), with particular interest on the high frequency characterization/spectroscopy, applied to biological systems and to inorganic hybrid structures.
