Capsule Bio
Sofia Romagnoli was born on 10 February 1995 in Jesi (AN), Italy. She received the Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a thesis entitled “Digital Cardiotocography: issues related to sampling frequency”, at Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) in 2017. From January 2018 to September 2018, she joined a research project on digital cardiotocography at Cardiovascular Bioengineering Lab of Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy). She received the Master Degree in Biomedical Engineering (cum Laude) with a thesis entitled “Mechanoelectric phenomena contributing to sport-related sudden cardiac death” at Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) in 2020. Since November 2020, she is a PhD student at the Department of Information Engineering (DII) at Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy).
Research Areas:
The actual research topic is focused on biomedical engineering applications for sports: cardiovascular athlete’s monitoring and cardiovascular system modelling. Other main research interests regards the biomedical signal and data processing in Fetal Medicine and Sports Medicine.
