Radar, health sensor, health monitoring, human activities monitoring
This research activity focuses on the applications of millimeter wave radar, RGBD cameras and wearable/environmental sensors to the observation of subjects for the extraction of vital signs, activities of daily living and behavioral recognition, through the processing of the extracted data on the basis of machine learning algorithms. The LabICT is equipped with tools dedicated to the generation of RF signals and their analysis in the frequency and time domain, Software Defined Radio cards, mmWave Radar, microWave connections, RGB-D sensors, IoT and much more. LabICT hosts an “Advanced Networking Lab” for hands-on activities related to networking, security and wireless, and Active Assisted Living research and design technologies.
