Capsule Bio
Dr. Carlo Aironi was born in Ancona, Italy, in 1984. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM). For three years, he worked as a Hardware Engineer and Firmware Developer in the production of digital musical instruments. In 2024, he earned a Ph.D. in Information Engineering with a dissertation titled “Advanced Deep Learning Techniques for Analysis and Reconstruction of Audio Signals.”
Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Information Engineering at UNIVPM..
Research Areas:
His research focuses on the application of machine learning and deep learning methods to the restoration of corrupted vocal and musical sequences, particularly through Packet Loss Concealment and Audio Inpainting. His work also explores Graph Representation Learning and Graph Neural Networks applied to Digital Audio and Speech Processing.
