Capsule Bio

(Serena Di Sisto is a research fellow at the Department of Information Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Marche, where she focuses on crowdfunding and innovation procurement within the framework of public governance. She is currently completing her third year as a PhD candidate in Economics and Public Finance at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”.
She holds two master’s degrees from the University of Molise: one in Social Work and Social Policies, and another in Public, Corporate, and Marketing Communication. She also completed a Level I Master’s program in Digital Territories, ICT, Social Innovation, and Heritage Communities, which provided her with specialized skills in the use of digital technologies for the protection and promotion of cultural and social heritage.
Beyond the academic sphere, Serena has collaborated with the National Research Council (CNR), contributing to research projects on socio-health inequalities, chronic disease monitoring, and the production of standardized data to support public health strategies. She also worked with Motus-E, an association in the automotive sector, conducting research and data analysis for a project coordinated by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the CNR’s Institute for Sustainable Economic Growth (IRCRES).
Her academic and professional journey reflects an interdisciplinary orientation, a solid evidence-based approach, and a constant interest in public sector innovation, particularly in the integration of social policy, communication, and digital transformation) ..
